Prima edizione di quest'opera di medicina e botanica a cura del parigino Pomet che creò una collezione di farmaci provenienti da ogni parte del mondo che avesse commerci attivi con la Francia.
Folio (383 x 248mm). Occhiello, ritratto inciso in rame in antiporta, frontespizio in rosso e nero, numerose incisioni in rame nel testo e una tavola, iniziali e fregi xilografici (piccola riparazione marginale all'occhiello, alcune bruniture e fioriture, O1, X1 con margine esterno riparato, qualche altro sporadico restauro o strappetto riparato). Pelle coeva, dorso decorato in oro (reindorsato e restaurato). Segue talvolta all'opera un supplemento. Provenienza: alcune annotazioni del XVIII secolo - Vittorio Arioli (exlibris).

First edition of the most complete materia medica of the time, compiled by the Parisian apothecary and botanist Pomet who gathered his collection of drugs from all parts of the world with which France traded.
Folio (383 x 248mm). Half-title, engraved portrait, title in red and black, numerous engravings in text and a plate, woodcut initials and headpieces (small marginal repair to thalf-title, some browning and spotting, O1, X1 with repaired external margin, some other sporadic restoration or repaired tear). Contemporary calf, spin gilt (rebacked and restored). Sometimes a supplement is found with the work. Provenance: Vittorio Arioli (bookplate).
