Arte Islamica Dipinto in stile Safavide in lacca su papier mache
Iran, XIX secolo. -. Cm 48,80 x 72,00 x 0,90. Grande dipinto raffigurante una festa di corte caratterizzata dallo Shah in alto a destra inquadrato in un edificio a prospettiva multipla e circondato da attendenti che recano cibo e personaggi che banchettano nel registro inferiore. Sullo sfondo un paesaggio bucolico separato dal contesto animato dalla cancellata rossa che, insieme alla resa delle figure e al taj (copricapo con bacchetta centrale), situano il dipinto nella scia del repertorio Safavide. Alcune facce sono state cancellate, molte sono stereotipate, alcune sembrano essere effettivi ritratti. Illuminazione di palmette e mezze palmette intrecciate sui margini.

Iran, 19th century. . Cm 48,80 x 72,00 x 0,90. Big painting depicting a court celebration, characterized by the Shah in the top right, framed by a building depicted in multiple perspective, and surrounded by attendants bearing food, and figures feasting in the lower level. In the background is an idyllic landscape, separated from the scene mentioned above by a red railing, which, together with the characteristics of the figure and the taj (headwear with central stick), identifies the painting as belonging to the Safavid tradition. Some of the faces were erased, many stereotyped and some resemble proper portraits. Illuminated with interwoven palmettes and half-palmettes on the margins.
