Afganistan o Persia, tardo XVIII secolo. . Cm 10,00 x 16,00. Manoscritto miniato su carta in arabo, dimensioni del foglio 160x100mm, specchio di scrittura 121x64mm. Testo in calligrafia Naskh su singola colonna di 15 linee in inchiostro nero. Composto da 356 carte, completo. La decorazione comprende un doppio frontespizio (sarlaw) miniato in oro, argento e colori. Tutti gli altri fogli sono delimitati da un triplo filetto in giallo e blu. I titoli delle sure sono scritti in inchiostro rosso. Legatura posteriore in pelle con ribalta, decorata con impressioni a secco e filetti in argento. Alcuni restauri sulle prime carte e tracce di bruciature sul taglio inferiore, carta brunita e con tagli fragili. Esemplare probabilmente sopravvissuto ad un incendio.
Il colophon riporta una data incompleta in cui si legge solo 42, è possibile ipotizzare che la data fosse 1142 AH (1721 AD). Il margine superiore del frontespizio reca inoltre una scritta relativa al fatto che il manoscritto appartenesse ad una persona in precedenza cristiana, in seguito convertita.

Afghanistan or Persia, late 18th century . . Cm 10,00 x 16,00. Illuminated manuscript on paper, in Arabic. Measurements of the leaf 160x100 mm, portion of the leaf covered in writing 121x64 mm. Text written in Naskh script on a single column of 15 lines with black ink. Totaling 356 leaves, complete. The decorations include a double title page (sarlaw) illuminated in gold, silver and colors. All the other leaves are framed by a triple decorative line in yellow and blue. The titles of the surahs are in red ink. Back binding in leather with fold, decorated with dry tooling and decorative lines in silver. Traces of restoration works on the first few leaves and traces of burning on the tail edge, browned paper with frail edges. Probably survived a fire.
The colophon bears an incomplete date of which only 42 is readable: it is possible that the date was 1142 AH (1721 AD). A writing close to the upper edge of the title page, states that the manuscript belonged to a former Christian, then converted.
