Studiopepe, Family of coffee and side tables made from marble scraps. The reflection on randomness and the concept of full and empty are at the origin of this project. 'Ritagliare' (i.e. cropping, in Italian) implies the concept of emptiness. In fact, it is possible to have a positive experience of emptiness through artistic forms which, instead of "representing" an object, "present" the void between things: what identifies and characterizes them. The randomness, the aesthetics of chance and the Dadaist "ready-made" are the other elements investigated in this project. The refusal of rationality in Dadaism is obviously provocative and is used as a pretext to break down the conventions around art and - in this case - design.
