Copia in bazzana coeva alle armi e dall'ottima impressione di questa opera monumentale che riproduce i dipinti realizzati da Rubens del Palais de Luxembourg, ora al Louvre, commissionati da Maria de Medici, Regina di Francia.
Folio elefante (592 x 450mm). Frontespizio e "Advertissement" che contiene l'indice delle tavole incisi in rame Berey, ritratto di Rubens inciso da Van Dyck e 24 tavole, 3 delle quali a doppia pagina, incise perlopiù da Rubens e disegnate da da Jean Marc-Nattier e Jean-Baptiste Nattier ed incise da Benoit Audra, Jean Audran, Gaspard Duchange, Gérard Edelinck, Alexis Loir, Jean-Baptiste Massé, Bernard Picart, Charles Simmoneau, Antoine Trouvain e Cornelius Vermeulen (senza indice delle tavole, lievi tracce di polvere e poche sporadiche fioriture, una tavola con leggera piega e ritratto di Rubens con piccolo strappetto al margine interno che sfiora il bordo della tavola). Bazzana coeva elaboratamente decorata in oro ai bordi dei piatti, al dorso e con uno stemma con 5 mezze lune che guardano insù (reindorsata preservando parte del dorso originale, lievi difetti ai margini).

Copy with excellent impression in contemporary calf with gilt coat of arms of this monumental work that reproduces the paintings made by Rubens of the Palais de Luxembourg, now at the Louvre, commissioned by Maria de Medici, Queen of France.
Elephant folio (592 x 450mm). Title and "Advertissement" containing the index of the plates engraved in Berey copper, portrait of Rubens engraved by Van Dyck and 24 plates, 3 of which are double-page, engraved mostly by Rubens and drawn by Jean Marc-Nattier and Jean-Baptiste Nattier and engraved by Benoit Audra, Jean Audran, Gaspard Duchange, Gérard Edelinck, Alexis Loir, Jean-Baptiste Massé, Bernard Picart, Charles Simmoneau, Antoine Trouvain and Cornelius Vermeulen (without index of the plate, slight traces of dust and few sporadic spots, a table with a slight crease and a portrait of Rubens with a small tear at the inner margin that touches the edge of the plate). Contemporary mottled calf elaborately decorated in gilt on covers, spine and with a gilt coat of arms with 5 half moons looking up (rebacked preserving part of the original spine, extremities lightly rubbed).
