On the surface, three large fishes, one of them is a monkfish; they are spaced out by three waves, departing from the central recess. Restored, as visible from the upper section of one fish. Provenance: Private collection, London; acquired in Brussels from Alara Gallery on 1994; formerly in an old German collection (Düsseldorf).
