Importante e celebre testo corredato da mappe di grande formato a cura di Sebastian Munster usate anche in diverse edizioni di Tolomeo.
Folio (321 x 213mm). Marca tipografica al frontespizio e in fine, 27 grandi mappe a doppia pagina e 7 piccole mappe nel testo, tutte incise in legno, iniziali xilografiche (frontespizio e ultimo foglio leggermente corti al margine esterno, con alcune riparazione e alcune scritte completate a mano e piccole perdite, un po' di increspature e macchie di polvere, in generale alcune macchie di umidità e occasionali bruniture). Pergamena floscia coeva, titolo manoscritto al dorso (sguardie moderne, restauri e lievi macchie). In SBN sono riportate due versioni, questa segue la collazione della prima.

A copy in contemporary limp vellum of this important geographical survey, edited by Xylander and enhanced by the woodcut maps by Sebastian Munster used in several editions of Ptolemy.

Printer's device on title and at end, 27 large-format woodcut double-page maps, 7 smaller woodcut maps in text, initials (title and final leaf slightly shorter at outer margin with some repairs and restorations, some letters supplied by hand and some small loss, a bit creased and soiled; in general some occasional waterstaining and browning). Contemporary limp vellum, manuscript title on spine (modern guards, some restorations and staining). In SBN there are two different versions and this copy follows the collation of the first).
