Firmato a mano dall'artista in basso a sinistra; monogramma, titolato e datato dall'artista in basso a destra.
L'opera d'arte rappresenta un paesaggio naturale: è la terra intorno ad Arques, un piccolo villaggio francese. Il tratto di matita è molto morbido e il chiaroscuro definisce le montagne e la casa.
Il disegno fu realizzato da Paul Alexandre Louis Wallet (Amiens, 1818), un artista e pittore paesaggista francese che espose al Salon dal 1857 al 1970.
