Antropomorphic Jar, Colombia, Tairona Culture, ca. AD 1000 – 1500; height cm 16; diam. cm 5,7; Covered by a bright, shiny dark brown engobe, obtained from a paint rich in iron. Shaped with strongly stylized manner, with on nose a gold-tumbaga ring with jade as pendant. Restorations on the rim; with a plexiglass stand. Provenance: From an Italian collection formed during 1970s - 1990s; this lot require the Italian export licence (please contact the auction house about info and additional cost).
