Arte Himalayana Figura in bronzo raffigurante Tara stante
Tibet, XVI - XVII secolo . -. Cm 14,00 x 34,00. Fusione composta in due parti: busto e gambe, raffigurante Tara in forma di Bodhisattva, caratterizzata dalla postura stante su una base a doppio fiore di loto.
Il volto sereno ed il corpo flessuoso sono abbelliti da bracciali, orecchini e corona, finemente realizzati ed arricchiti da pietre preziose, semi-preziose e vetri. La figura è abbigliata con un peplo decorato a motivi fitomorfi e l'alta acconciatura presenta tracce di pigmento blu. La sua mano sinistra, nel gesto vitarkamudra, stringe un tralcio risalente sul braccio e terminante con un fiore di loto; mentre la destra è nel gesto varadamudra.

. . Cm 14,00 x 34,00. Two-pieces cast: torso and legs, depicting Tara in Bodhisattva form, characterized by the standing pose on a double lotus flower base.
The serene look and the lithe body are enriched with fine bracelets, earrings and a crown adorned by precious, semi-precious and glass gems. The figure wears a peplum decorated with phytomorfic motifs and the tall hairstyle shows traces of blue pigment. The left hand, performing the vitarkamudra gesture, holds a vine climbing up the arm and ending in a lotus flower, while the right hand performs the varadamudra gesture.
