Arte Himalayana Figura in bronzo dorato raffigurante Achala Cina/Tibet, tardo XVIII secolo . -. Cm 18,50 x 23,00. Fusione in due parti: corpo e base a fiore di loto singolo, raffigurante la divinità irata Achala trionfante, nella sua posizione ad arco, su un cavallo ed un cadavere umano. La figura è caratterizzata da un'alta e fiammeggiante capigliatura ed un volto irato e barbuto, entrambi con tracce policrome. Presenta stola fluttuante, una tunica ornata a motivi fitomorfi, lunga collana con teste umane ed un'armatura sul cui ventre è ritratto un volto zoomorfo. Nella sua mano destra brandisce una spada la cui lama è andata perduta, mentre la sinistra avrebbe dovuto reggere il laccio phustaka.
Himalayan Art A gilt bronze figure of Achala Sino/Tibet, late 18th century . . Cm 18,50 x 23,00. Two-pieces cast: base shaped as a single lotus flower and body, depicting the triumphant wrathful deity Achala in a kneeling posture standing on a horse and human body. The figure is characterized by a tall flaming hairstyle and a wrathful and bearded face, both presenting polychrome traces. The deity wears a flowing stole, a tunic ornate with phytomorfic motifs, a long necklace of human heads and an armor on which is depicted a zoomorphic face. In the right hands is a sword of which the blade was lost, while the left hand should have held the phustaka lace.
