Arte Himalayana Torana in rame dorato e sbalzato Nepal, XVII secolo . -. Cm 60,00 x 32,00. Elemento architettonico da tempio composto da tre placche in rame dorato applicate su una base in metallo. La figura centrale e dominante ritrae il bodhisattva Manjushri nella sua variante a quattro braccia per la quale prende il nome di Namsamgiti. Il personaggio reca come attributi la spada, il libro che tiene stretto al petto, un arco ed una freccia. Questa placca centrale è affiancata a sinistra dal divinità dalla testa elefantina Ganapati con quattro bracciai, e a destra dal dharmapala Mahakala in una variante qui chiamata Bhagavan e caratterizzata da abiti suntuosi, una mazza sulla sua spalla sinistra, una kapala ed una kartika nelle sue mani. La torana in metallo riporta una composizione canonica con due Makara laterali, due piccole Nagini ed un Garuda ad ali spiegate all'apice.
Arte Himalayana A copper gilded embossed Torana Nepal, 17th century . . Cm 60,00 x 32,00. Architectural element from a temple, made up of three plaques in gilded copper, applied on a metal base. The central dominating figure is the bodhisattva Manjushri in his four-armed manifestation, taking thus the name of Namsamgiti. His attributes are the sword, the book held close to the chest, a bow and an arrow. On the left of this central plaque is the four-armed elephant headed god Ganapati, and to the right of the central plaque is the dharmapala Mahakala, in a manifestation called Bhagavan, characterized by sumptuous clothes, a mace on the left shoulder, a kapala and a kartika held in the hands. The metal torana shows a canonical composition formed by two Makaras on the side, two small Naginis and a Garuda with its wings spread at the top.
