Il diagramma Siddhachakra è normalmente composto da una forma stilizzata del fiore di loto nei cui petali sono iscritte le cinque entità di riferimento della dottrina Jaina: gli Illuminati (Arhat), i Liberati (Siddha), i maestri (Acharya), gli insegnanti dei monaci (Upadhyaya) ed i monaci (Sadhu), oltre le sillabe sacre (mantra). Si tratta di un diagramma di buon auspicio a cui si rende omaggio al fine di liberare l'anima dal circolo delle rinascite. Viene esposto solo in alcuni periodi dell'anno, al di fuori dei quali viene piegato e riposto, motivo grazie al quale questo esemplare si è conservato nei secoli. Considerando dimensioni e fattura è del tutto probabile che questa tela fosse stata prodotta per il culto all'interno di un tempio. Dallo studio delle parti testuali emerge che appartenesse ad una setta Digambara poiché vengono menzionati alcuni maestri e passi riconducibili a questa corrente. Il diagramma (yantra) è un raro esempio di come fosse possibile concentrare, nell'intricato reticolo di sillabe sacre (mantra), molti concetti chiave della dottrina. Corredato di pregevole cornice in plexiglass su misura con meccanismo a minuscole calamite che bloccano la tela senza rovinarla. Misure irregolari.

The Siddhachakra diagram is normally composed by a stilized lotus, while the five entities of Jaina doctrine are represented in its petals: the Illuminates (Arhat), the Freed (Siddha), the masters (Acharya), the teachers of the monks (Upadhyaya) and the monks (Sadhu), along with the sacred syllables (mantra). It is a diagram used for good luck and to free the soul. It was exposed only in particular times of the year, and when was not in display it was folded and stored – that's why this painting has been protected from the wear caused by time. Considering its dimensions it is possible that this canvas was used in a temple by a Digambara sect (studying the texts, the names of some masters linked to this sect emerged). The diagram (yantra) is a rare example of how it was possible to concentrate many key ideas of the doctrine inside the intricate net of the sacred syllables (mantra). This painting has its plexiglass frame with little magnets, which keep the canvas in place without ruining it. Irregular measures.
