Tibet, XVIII - XIX secolo. -. Cm 40,50 x 53,00. Thangka raffigurante probabilmente una divinità protettrice terrena denominata Drab-la finemente realizzato e di aspetto estremamente plastico, sia la figura principale che la sua cavalcatura. Il personaggio mostra un ricco pennacchio in piume di pavone, vesti svolazzanti, un melong al centro del petto e tiene offerte votive nella mano sinistra e nella destra una bacchetta magica. La figura principale è circondata da un intricato paesaggio e da dieci personaggi secondari, tra i quali è possibile distinguere, nell'ordine superiore, Padmasambhava e Vajrapani, mentre in quello inferiore Rahu Mahakala e Vajrasadhu.

Tibet, 18th - 19th century . . Cm 40,50 x 53,00. This Thangka probably portrays an earthly protector god named Drab-la. The painting is exquisitely made and the figures are extremely elegant, both the god and his ride. The god wears a lavish hackle made of peacock feathers, a large vest, a melong in the middle of his chest and holds offerings in his left hand. In his right hands he holds a magic wand. This major figure is surrounded by a complicated landscape and by ten other characters, among which there are Padmasambhava and Vajrapani (on the upper side of the Thangka); and Rahu Mahakala and Vajrasadhu (on the lower side).
