A faience earthenware so-called Nut Bowl, New Kingdom 1505-1070 BC restored. This object comes with a valuation report by Mr. H.J. Pragt, Egyptologist.
He writes: This restored faience bowl is a beautiful example of a marsh bowl, also called a Nut Bowl. It is a typical grave gift from the New Kingdom. The outside is decorated with radiant petals and sepals of the Egyptian blue water lily. The sepals of this flower have dots on the outside, which the artist deliberately created with spots in the black pigment during the baking process. The inside of the bowl is decorated with a continuous design of the open flowers of the blue water lily, the herringbone motif stems represent cornflowers and the stems with a spherical fruit is the mandrake.
