Gelatin silver print, flush mounted on board
Cm 48,3 x 48,3
Original provenance: Purchased at Pillips de Pury & Company, New York
Lynn Davis highlights her ability to transform the landscape into an almost mystical experience. The quote "The world does not look like my pictures" suggests a distance between reality and its artistic interpretation, as if her images were a sort of visual meditation rather than simple documentation
The influence of Berenice Abbott is probably reflected in the compositional precision and attention to light, but Davis develops a personal language that transcends simple representation, leading to a reflection on the grandeur of nature and the role of man in front of it. The use of black and white helps to create a sense of timelessness and abstraction, distancing her images from reportage and bringing them closer to a contemplative and symbolic dimension -

Charlie Davoli's work blends surrealism with digital manipulation, creating thought-provoking compositions that challenge logic and perception. His practice draws inspiration from philosophy, contemporary culture, and the absurdity of modern life, often combining everyday elements with unexpected juxtapositions. This piece reflects his signature approach—merging irony with conceptual depth to engage viewers in a playful yet critical dialogue. This limited edition print is certified, signed, and numbered by the artist, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. -
