Lot 122 1930, Zeppelin, cartolina illustrata spedita via Zeppelin da B. Ayres per l’Italia, con affrancatura mista Argentina/Brasile con fr. soprastampati in azzurro emessi in occasione del I° volo Zeppelin nell’America del Sud, e fr. di Brasile da 5000r. verde emesso dalla Compagnia privata “Condor”, regolarmente autorizzata, che rappresentava la sopratassa dovuta per i plichi diretti negli Stati Uniti. Bollo speciale romboidale violetto argentino , di arrivo e partenza di Friedrichshafen. Cert. Caffaz.

Lot 124 1899, China, (Apr.17) a mixed franking picture postcard from Chefoo to Triest, Franked with China 4c. brown, tied by large Chefoo Chinese 2-ring bilingual c.d.s.; Shanghai bilingual c.d.s. on transit on 2c. H.K. QV carmine in pair. Arrived on Apr, 21 in H.K., the postcard was embarked on a French packet “Ligne N-Paq. F.R. n°3”. Alongside a d.c. “Triest 1” on arrival. Very fine.

Franked at 40c. rate via San Francisco with “PAQUEBOT” travelled by a S.S. of Dollar Steamship. Co. Other franked at 40c. from Shanghai via San Francisco to Milano, embarked on S.S. “President Coolidge” of the Dollar Steamship Co., manuscript indication on the front. Very interesting.

Alongside “Yokohama 28 Jul 99” Transit c.d.s. On arrival to Trieste on 22 Aug. the postcard was reddressed to Sattendorf (Austria). Very fine.

In arrivo fu tassata per doppio porto con segnatasse da 25c. e 1 lira (S.37/42) al verso. Bellissima affrancatura, non comune.

Lot 139 1683, September 8, Great Britain, letter from London to Leghorn from the Venturini correspondence,, Superb strike of the very difficult and early postmark “FRANCHES”, a classic of the London Foreign Office. Some ageign as to be expected but overall fine for an item of this type and period. Very rare in this condition. G. Bolaffi.
