Mary-Lynn & Carlo Massoud, The Elephant Project is the latest creation by Beirut- based siblings, Mary-Lynn and Carlo Massoud. The oversized collection is a new furniture line for indoor and outdoor use consisting of pieces that are made of colored lightweight concrete, created by combining foam and concrete. The collection came to life during the extended lock- down imposed globally over the last 2 years due to COVID19. The brother and sister duo realized the importance of objects that surround us in our daily lives and wanted to create pieces that made peo- ple smile and brought color to living spaces, be they indoor or outdoor. The massive and bold shapes of the collection led to its name. Each piece reflects the clashing yet complementary styles of the siblings, between Mary-Lynn’s handmade ceramic work and Carlo’s careful pre-production obsession. Each piece in the Elephant Project can be customized according to the specificities of the client, be it in shape, color or function.
