Tappeto Aubusson, Francia, fine secolo XVIII. Tessuto in lana con la tecnica ad arazzo. Decoro floreale su campo color tabacco composto da un medaglione tondeggiante con un bouquet di rose contornato da una ghirlanda d'alloro ed una grande ghirlanda di fiori di varie specie. Ai due lati del medaglione due volute a foglie d'acanto reggono due cesti intrecciati ricolmi di fiori di varie tipologie. Completano la decorazione del campo alcuni ramage con foglie, fiori e foglie d'acanto. Bordura interna, ad imitazione delle cornici dorate dell'epoca, contornata da margherite in sequenza. La bordura principale, a fondo verde, reca rami fioriti con andamento a meandro composti da numerose specie di fiori (cm 482x468) (difetti, scuciture e piccoli vecchi restauri)

Floral decoration on a tobacco colour field consisting of a round medallion with a roses bouquet surrounded by a laurel wreath and a large garland of flowers of various species. On the two sides of the medallion two volutes with acanthus leaves hold two woven baskets filled with flowers of various types. The decoration of the field is completed by some ramage with leaves, flowers and acanthus leaves. Internal border, imitating the golden frames of the time, surrounded by daisies in sequence. The main border, with green background, has flowery branches with meandro pattern composed of numerous species of flowers (cm 482x468) (Defects and small old restorations)
