Seconda edizione. La prima fu pubblicata dal padre di Francesco Bertelli, Pietro. Entrambi erano attivi come editori e incisori e Pietro potrebbe avere intagliato le tavole dell'opera che derivano da un lavoro rimasto inedito: il Trattato di architettura del Senese architetto e ingegnere Francesco di Giorgio Martini (1439-1501).
Folio (296 x 205mm). Frontespizio calcografico entro cornice architettonica, 42 illustrazioni a piena pagina incise in rame, iniziali xilografiche (frontespizio un po' schiarito, alcune lievi macchie di umidità e piccole fioriture). Pergamena coeva, autore manoscritto al dorso (due piccoli strappetti al dorso e lievi macchie).

Second edition of Zonca's work first published in 1607 by Francesco Bertelli's father Pietro. Both were active as publishers and engravers, and Pietro may have engraved these plates which were derived from the unpublished Trattato di architectura of the Sienese architect-engineer Francesco di Giorgio Martini (1439-1501). The present work is noted for containing the first illustration of a gig-mill for raising nap on cloth, and for spreading knowledge of the mangle (Norman). Riccardi describes this edition as 'Rare'. Folio (296 x 205mm). Engraved title within architectural border, 42 full-page engraved illustrations, woodcut initials (title lightly faded, some occasional light waterstaining and spotting). Contemporary vellum, author in manuscript on spine (chipping to spine, light staining).
