François Fortuné Férogio

La Campagne, 1844
Litografia originale su carta, 44 x 31 cm
La Campagne is an original artwork created by François Ferogio in 1844.
Titled on the upper margin. Writing on the lower side.

Beautiful artwork representing a bucolic scene with a woman with two children on a pergola. In the background, there is a silhouette of a church.
The artwork was realized by François Ferogio (Marseille, 1805 - Paris, 1888), a French artist. Admitted to the studio of Baron Gros at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in 1825, François Ferogio worked mostly in pastel and watercolor, usually on a fairly small scale. He exhibited regularly at the Salons between 1831 and 1880, and also produced lithographs, designs for faience, and book illustrations.
Condizioni discrete. Alcune fioriture sulla superficie del piatto. Passepartout incluso (48 x 34 cm).
