L'opera è riccamente illustrata da 62 tavole incise in rame (53 in Renneville e 9 in Schouten), la maggior parte delle quali ripiegate, che illustrano paesaggi, scene, usi e costumi locali dei paesi visitati.12 volumi, 12mo (160 x 90mm). Prima opera: 10 volumi, antiporte incise in rame in tutti i volumi (tranne il IV e VII e il vol. X che da segnatura non doveva avere antiporta), 53 (di 56?) tavole incise in rame, la maggior parte ripiegate e alcune di grandi dimensioni, titoli in rosso e nero, con ultime bianche, capilettera e fregi xilografici (alcune bruniture e fioriture, sporadici piccoli strappi e macchie). Pelle coeva con dorso decorato in oro, tagli a spruzzo rosso (qualche piccola perdita e lievi sfregamenti). L'unico volume la cui collazione delle pagine differisce da SBN è il vol. VIII che termina con S8, T2 anziché con S10 (in SBN i volumi sono stampati da Pierre Cailloue). Seconda opera: 2 volumi in legatura uniforme. Antiporta al secondo volume, 9 tavole e un ritratto dell'autore inciso in rame, frontespizio in rosso e nero (manca l'antiporta al vol. I, senza B4 in fine al II vol.). Data la complessità della collazione e le diverse composizioni delle copie reperibili sul mercato il lotto si vende non passibile di storno. Richly illustrated with 62 engraved plates, mostly folding, depicting views and local habits of the states visited.12 volumes, 12mo (160 x 90mm). First work: 10 volumes, engraved frontispieces in each vol. (except vols IV and VII and vol. X which doesn't call for one), 53 (of 56?) engraved plates, mostly folding and some very large), titles in red and black, with final blanks, woodcut initials and headpieces (some browning and spotting, few small tears and stains). Contemporary calf, spines decorated in gilt, red speckled edges (some small chips and light rubbing). The only vol. which doesn't correspond to the SBN collation is vol. VIII which end with S8, T2 instead of S10 (in SBN the vols. are printed by Pierre Cailloue). Second work: 2 volumes in uniform bindings. Addition engraved title in vol. II, 9 engraved plates and a portrait of the author, titles in red and black (lacking addition engraved title in vol. I and B4 at end of vol. II). Due to the complexity in collation and to the different composition of copies found on the market the lot is sold not subject to return. (12)
