Prima edizione di quest'opera che narra la guerra di Crimea attraverso numerose litografie a colori.
2 volumi in uno, folio (560 x 353mm). Due frontespizi litografici con vignette, pagina dedicatoria litografica alla Regina Vittoria, 78 litografie a colori (39 tavole nel vol. I [tavv. 2-40, la tav. 1 costituisce la vignetta del frontespizio] e 39 nel vol. II [tavv. 1-41 ma mancanti le tavv. 17 e 37]), 36 riproduzioni didascaliche delle corrispettive litografie stampate sulla velina protettiva (incompleto l'indice delle tavole alla fine, mancanti le tavv. 17 e 37 del vol. II, non visibile la numerazione delle tavv. 10 e 22 del vol. I e tav. 33 del vol. II, rifilata la numerazione delle tavv. 15, 23 e 29 del vol. I e tav. 20 del vol. II, restaurato il frontespizio del vol. I, esemplare molto fiorito). Legatura moderna in mezza pergamena, tagli dorati (lievi difetti).

2 volumes in one, folio (560 x 353mm). 2 lithographic titles with vignette, lithographic dedication leaf to Queen Victoria, 78 coloured lithographic plates (39 in vol. I [pl. 2-40, pl. 1 represented by the vignette on title] and 39 in vol. II (pl. 1-41, but lacking pl. 17, 37], 36 keys of the corresponding lithographies printed on protective tissue (index of plates not complete, lacking pl. 17 and 37 in vol. II, not visible the numeration of pl. 10 and 22 in vol I and of pl. 33 in vol. II, numeration of pl. 15, 23 and 29 in vol. I and pl. 20 in vol. II cropped , title of vol. I restored, heavily spotted). Modern half vellum with gilt edges (lightly rubbed).
