Seconda edizione di questo interessante esempio di carta da viaggio, con precise note del viaggiatore a penna colorata, in scala 1 : 30 miglia britanniche.
(1030 x 1250mm). Esemplare a colori dal disegno di un giovane Ernst Georg Ravenstein, studioso, geografo e viaggiatore, confini e alcune aree annotate in penna rosa, la scala è presente in miglia britanniche e miglia nautiche, divisa in 16 sessioni e foderata in lino (macchia blu nell'area inferiore, brunita, fioriture, fori da chiodi). Piena tela coeva con titolo dorato (difetti da usura, più marcati al dorso, alcune macchie), vi è inserita una piccola carta geografica moderna.

An interesting example of travel map, with precise pen colored notes of the traveler, on a scale of 1: 30 British miles.

Colour map from a drawing by a young Ernst Georg Ravenstein, scholar, geographer and traveler, with borders and some areas noted in pink, the scale is present in both British miles and nautical miles, divided into 16 large sections and mounted on linen (there is a blue spot in the lower area, spotting, browning and some holes). Cloth with gold title (lightly soiled and with spine lightly chipped, some stains), with a small modern map inserted.
