Prima edizione del manuale più importante di De Boot, che per la prima volta tentò una descrizione sistematica dei minerali (secondo proprietà, valore, imitazioni e applicazioni mediche) e una suddivisione per categorie.
4to (209 x 160mm). Marca tipografica al frontespizio e in fine, finalini xilografici, numerose illustrazioni nel testo, 2 tavole ripiegate fuori testo (esemplare gravemente e integralmente brunito, frontespizio rifilato nel margine inferiore, 2†2-3 distaccate dalla compagine, antico restauro a F3). Legatura posteriore in mezza pelle con piatti marmorizzati, autore e titolo in oro al dorso (lievi difetti). Provenienza: timbro al frontespizio.

Printer device on title and at the end, woodcut endpieces, numerous illustrations in the text, 2 folding plates (title cropped at the inferior margin, copy heavily browned, widespread foxing, 2†2-3 detached, early restoration on F3). Modern half-calf with marbled boards, gilt spine (lightly rubbed). Provenance: stamp on title.
