Arte Indiana Base a soggetto buddista in pietra scura
India Nord-Orientale, periodo Pala, XI - XII secolo. . Cm 62,00 x 23,50 x 15,00. Elemento architettonico in pietra lavica decorato con otto nicchie colonnate al cui interno sono ospitati quattro dei cinque Buddha trascendenti, posizionati in modo speculare rispetto ad un'asse centrale. In mezzo sono raffigurati dueVairocana, entrambi in padmasana, con le mani nel gesto di avviamento della ruota della dottrina dharmacakrapravartanamudra. IVairocana sono affiancati da Akshobhya, Amitabha e Ratnasambhava, un altro Amitabha ed un ulteriore Vairocana sono raffigurati sulle due pareti laterali dell'oggetto. Appoggio della base e parte superiore decorate a motivi geometrici.

Northern India, Pala period, 11th-12th century. . Cm 62,00 x 23,50 x 15,00. Lavic stone architectural element adorned with eight columned niches inside which are four of the five transcendent Buddhas, positioned specularly to a central axis. In the middle are two Vairocana, both in the padmasana position and whose hands are performing the dharmacakrapravartanamudra, symbolizing the turning of the wheel of the Dharma. They are flanked by Akshobhya, Amitabha and Ratnasambhava, while a second Amitabha and another Vairocana are depicted on the sides of the item. Base and upper section decorated with geometrical patterns.
