Arte Cinese Mandala in forma di tempio in filigrana d'argento dorato con base in legno di Zitan Cina, tardo XIX - XX secolo . -. Cm 32,00. Nella struttura, dal fitto lavoro in filigrana e disposta su quattro livelli principali, è possibile notare un intricato gioco di piccole figure, animali ed umane, in processione intorno all'edificio stesso. Il livello più basso, a pianta circolare, mostra un bel decoro fitoforme a sbalzo con inserti in cloisonnè azzurro, mentre nel livello superiore, da ognuno dei quattro lati del mandala, fuoriesce una punta di vajra, anch'essa in filigrana. La piccola pagoda all'apice della composizione è invece circondata dai stendardi fluttuanti. Da notare il minuzioso lavoro di traforo in tutta l'opera e la realizzazione della raffinata base in legno duro pregiato. L'oggetto è corredato di scatola su misura recante il nome del precedente collezionista e proprietario Zhang Boju (1898-1982), un rinomato poeta, collezionista, drammaturgo, pittore e calligrafo.

In the structure formed by the complex lacework on four main levels, it is possible to notice an intricate interplay of small human and animal figures in a procession around the building. The lower level, with a circular base, is characterized by an embossed vegetal decoration with insertions in blue cloisonné, while in the higher level, a lacework vajra end sticks out from each of the four sides of the mandala. The small pagoda at the top is surrounded by fluttering banners. Worthy of notice is the fine lacework characterizing the whole item, and the exquisite working of the base in precious hardwood. The object comes with its fitted box bearing the name of the previous owner: Zhang Boju (1898-1982), a renowned Ci poet, collector, dramatist, painter and calligrapher in modern China.
