Gerolamo Boccardo (Genova, 1829-1904) was one of the leading Italian economists of the nineteenth century. Teacher at the University of Genova and Senator, wrote extensively, spreading in Italy the theories of John Stuart Mill.
Provenance: Private library of a Verona noble family, whose roots are in Mantua and in which there were distinguished lawyers and jurists.
