Arte Islamica Importante tessuto talismanico dipinto con la Kaaba e la Sacra Moschea
Turchia, XIX secolo. . Cm 151,00. La parte superiore dipinta con la raffigurazione a più prospettive della Sacra Moschea di Mecca e zone rituali circostanti, ognuna con iscrizione didascalica, tra le altre: monte Omer, monte Ghaba, la porta e la moschea di Abramo, il monte Ojar . All'interno del Sacro recinto ci sono gli edifici dedicati alla varie confessioni musulmane: Hanafi, Hanbali, Shafeai e Ibrahim, la porta ed il pozzo.
La raffigurazione appena descritta è separata dalle iscrizioni sottostanti da una sottile fascia recante cartigli con le forme di saluto a Dio.
Nella parte inferiore sono riportati vari passi del Corano, tra i quali sono riconoscibili le Sure: Hamd, Koser, Yasin, Falaq, Tohaed, Nas, e Kaferum.
La tradizione vuole che tessuti come questi avessero un'influenza benefica su chi li possedeva o indossava; numerosi sono infatti gli indumenti talismanici atti a proteggere il corpo di chi li indossava.

The upper part of this fabric shows a multi-perspective representation of the Mecca's mosque and the sacred areas all around it (Mount Omer, Mount Ghaba, Abraham's Door and Mosque, Mount Ojar). Each of these landscapes has its own caption. Inside the Sacred fence there are the buildings dedicated to the various Muslim confessions: Hanafi, Hanbali, Shafeai and Ibrahim, the door and the well. This subject is separated by the inscriptions through a slim band showing various greetings to God. In the lower part there are many different passages of Quran, among which there are Hamd, Koser, Yasin, Falaq, Tohaed, Nas and Kaferum Surahs. According to the tradition, fabrics like this one had a benefic influence on people who owned or wore them.
