Iran, XIX secolo. . Cm 89,00. Spada in acciaio damasco con impugnatura decorata a motivo floreale. La lama a doppio taglio reca cartigli dorati con iscrizioni coraniche che probabilmente avevano in origine una funzione protettiva.

Iran, 19thcentury. fritware with underglaze and overglaze painted decoration. Cm 89,00. The handle of this Damascus steel sword is decorated with floral motifs. The double-edged blade is embellished with gilted Quranic inscriptions, which were probably intended to protect the owner of the sword.
