Arte Islamica "Mahmel nabawi sharif" - il pellegrinaggio del Sultano verso Mecca-
Firmato Abd Al Rahim e datato 1347 (1926)
Turchia, inizio XX secolo. -. Cm 128,00 x 91,00. Importante dipinto raffigurante una processione di soldati turchi, riconoscibili da uniformi e copricapi, che scorta una portantina identificabile con quella del Sultano ottomano Abdulhamid II (?) grazie alla cifra imperiale (tughra) ricamata sul tessuto. Dietro il corteo, sull'arido paesaggio desertico, si scorgono anche degli arabi, nei loro tradizionali abiti bianchi (thawb), un espediente visivo che lascia intendere che il pellegrino sia quasi arrivato alla meta.

Turkey, early 20th century. . Cm 128,00 x 91,00. This important painting portrays a parade of Turkish soldiers, recognizable by their uniforms and headgears, escorting a palanquin. The palanquin allegedly belongs to Ottoman Sultan Abdulhamid II (?) because of the tughra, the emblem of the Sultan, embroidered on the fabric. Some Arab men with their traditional white dress (thawb) are portrayed in the desert behind the parade, to make clear that the illustrious pilgrim has almost reached his destination. Signature and date are in the lower left corner.
