Arte Islamica Quattro miniature dal Diwan di Hafez Iran, tardo XVI secolo. . Cm 15,00 x 22,00. Lotto composto da quattro raffinate e vivaci miniature di epoca safavide che accompagnano il celebre Diwan del poeta Hafez, riportato sul retro di ciascuna. Le miniature illustrano il testo e si distinguono: il racconto di Shirin e Fahrad, due giocatori di polo e due scene conviviali. La moltitudine di timbri apposti sui dipinti indica che gli stessi furono ricercati e collezionati. Tra i timbri leggibili si distinguono i nomi di alcuni possessori come Sam Ibn Reza Gholi e Karimdad ed una tughra (sigillo dei sultani ottomani) che indica come almeno due di queste pagine provengano da biblioteche ottomane.
Arte Islamica Four miniature paintings from the Diwan by Hafez Iran, late 16th century. . Cm 15,00 x 22,00. This lot is composed by four refined Safavid era miniatures which accompany the famous Diwan by the poet Hafez, written on the back of each painting. The miniatures illustrate the text and represent repectively: the tale of Shirin and Fahrad; two polo players; and two convivial scenes. There are a lot of stamps on the paintings, therefore it is clear that somebody else have found and collected them. We can recognize the names of some of the previous owners, like Sam Ibn Reza Gholi, Karimdad and one tughra (the seal of Ottoman Sultans), which reveals that at least two of these pages came from Ottoman libraries.
