Pigmenti naturali ad acqua, inchiostro e oro su carta . -. Cm 10,90 x 25,70. L'affollata pagina contiene numerosi elementi rigorosamente e coerentemente disposti. Sulla sinistra appare la sillaba sacra Hrim ed al suo interno sono rappresentati i 24 jaina disposti in file e caratterizzati da diversi colori. Al centro un diagramma circolare racchiude Mahavira al di sotto del quale troviamo due figure sull'elefante identificabili con Indra.
Sulla destra è rappresentata la sillaba sacra Om, ripetuta cinque volte per indicare le cinque realtà supreme (gli illuminati, i liberati, i maestri, gli insegnanti dei monaci ed i monaci) e, nella fila sotto, sono rappresentati i nove pianeti.
Questo esemplare è stato esposto al Rubin Museum of Art di New York in occasione della mostra dal titolo "Victorius Ones: Jain images of Perfection" 2009-2010 e pubblicato nell'omonimo catalogo.
Arte Indiana A rare and important page from a lost Jaina manuscript. Visual depiction of mantra Om Hrim. India, Gujarat or Rajastahn, 15th century. Natural water pigments, ink and gold on paper. . Cm 10,90 x 25,70. This page contains various elements coherently disposed inside the composition. On the left side there is the sacred syllable Hrim, inside which there are the 24 jainas, arranged in columns and depicted in different colors. In the middle of the composition there is a circular diagram which surrounds Mahavira. Right under this diagram the page depicts two human figures (Indras) on an elephant. On the right side there is the sacred syllable Om, repeated five times to represent the five supreme realities (the Illuminated, the Freed, the masters, the teachers of the monks and the monks). Immediately under, there are the nine planets. This object was shown in Rubin museum of Art in New York during the exhibit "Victorius Ones: Jain images of perfection" (2009-2010) and published in the catalogue of the same name.
