A fine image of the Archangel Michael with the flaming sword in his right hand.
Lower left the painting bears a later inscription with the name of Archangel Zadkiel, but the iconography does not correspond.
The painting reflects the traditional style of the School of Cusco, the artistic movement that developed in Perù during the 16th and 17th centuries, blending indigenous artistic taste with European Baroque.
