A barber's pole, 1930's
Rare impressed glass and metal rotating light, in perfect working order. Used as a barber shop sign. The caps that cover the mechanism and the motor are made of aluminium and the rotating internal element, made of coloured cellulose, has been restored in a conservative manner.

A brass candelabra-like lamp, set within a rectangular double crystal frame. The candelabra presents five branches four of which bear lights whilst the central branch is free. The structure is characteristic of the many lights designed by Pietro Chiesa produced in that period.

A standard lamp with base made up of interwoven brass tubes that almost form a flower, black varnished metal stem that supports four opaline glass globes, of which one is yellow-coloured, that are mounted on brass tube structures. Fitted with foot switch on flex. Marked Stilnovo (S) on the base.

Lotto 193 A tripod lamp
Stilnovo (attributed to), Italy 1950's
Lamp with black varnished metal tripod foot. A slightly tilting shade is fixed towards the top of the stem, that consists of two white opaline glass discs, shaped like a flying saucer, and which contains three bulbs. The theme of 'space' is clearly referred to in this example and it inspired many lamps designed in the 1950's and 1960's.

Glass table lamp, made following the Barovier glassworks' patent, the so-called Crepuscolo. Transparent glass with brown filaments obtained by inserting iron wool into the wall of the lamp. A solid form and decorated with large crystal rings.

Louis Poulsen PH5 lamp by Poul Henningsen, Denmark 1958
This is the original version of the lamp in lacquered aluminium with a blue and red painted interior. The lamp was designed with multiple concentric metal shades so as to hide the light source and eliminate the glare, in this way creating diffused lateral light. An icon of Danish design, the PH5 gets its name from the designer's initials and the number 5, that being the 50 cm diameter.
